NaBloPoMo – Day 1

November has always been one of my favorite months! Fall is in full swing {hopefully snow stays away}, the holidays have begun, my mama’s birthday, and of course THANKSGIVING! Here, turkey, turkey!!!! This November I am excited to try participating in the NaBloPoMo challenge….which stands for National Blog Posting Month. It started with an event called National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)–an event where over 200,000 writers commit to writing 50,000 words of fiction during the month of November. It is a kick-start project for working towards publishing a novel. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to be an author, and writing a book is definitely on my long-term bucket list. But I’m not quite there yet. NaBloPoMo is for people like me who want a challenge, but aren’t ready to take the plunge in writing a full-out novel.

I’m not sure if I’ll make it the full month {although there is a prize at the end to work towards…an iPad mini to one lucky finisher!}, but I’m sure going to try. I hope you’ll join me for my daily post–which could be anything from a short story, poem, picture, or something else. I’ll also use some blog prompts from the NaBloPoMo writing prompts list and might even use ideas from some of my personal favorite bloggers.

I’m excited to see where this month’s project takes me!!! Happy Friday {and November 1st!} everyone!! Enjoy you weekend! Any suggestions on what I should write about this month?? I’ve got 30 days {well, 29 now!} to go!
