A Glamorous Tuesday (Told in someecards) – NaBlaPoMo Day 19

It doesn’t get much more glamorous than my life today, folks. It started after I woke up and got ready, then took Dory out to pee and took out the trash. I started my work day around 8:04 with a cup of coffee and half of an old bagel for breakfast.

If all that hasn’t made you jealous, hold on. I spent my morning at work, reading and answering emails, taking and making phone calls, and just doing a whole lot of paper pushing in general. Whoaa, wild morning, I know.

Lunch time came, when I ran home to let Dory Dog out to go potty. I grabbed what was left of the bagged chopped salad in the fridge, and ate it with a coffee cup of tomato soup; I stripped my bed sheets and put them in the wash.

After that hour “break,” I went back to work, where I read and answered some more emails, had a conference call, and, oh yah, pushed some more papers. A few people annoyed me and I rolled my eyes a couple times.

I really needed a pick-me-up around 3:30, so I had another cup of coffee and an apple for a snack.

As 5 o’clock rolled around, I packed up my stuff, and got the heck out of dodge. I stopped by Good-Will on my way home, looking for something to sew with my new-to-me sewing machine, but I bought nothing. Then I stopped at the Dollar General near my house to buy a basket for my sewing stuff, and also picked up some clearance candy for my Zeta alumnae chapter’s fundraiser baskets.

I came home around 6 and G had dinner ready {burrito bowls, yum!} so that was a nice treat to not have to cook dinner and the highlight of my day. But I had JUST cleaned the kitchen last night, and guess what, it was already a mess. So I loaded up the dishwasher, pushed start, and wiped down the counters….again.

I threw the sheets in the dryer, started another load of laundry, followed by another load of laundry.

While the laundry was going, I quickly used my sewing machine to sew a hole that has been in my coat pocket for, oh, I don’t know, 3 years? It was so incredibly easy. And I’m laughing at myself for how long it took me to sew that. Thanks, sewing machine. And when the laundry was finished, I ironed 8 of G’s shirts, and 2 pairs of his pants. I folded the rest of the laundry, and have yet to put it away. Maybe I can make that along with picking up and vacuuming tomorrow’s wild and riveting tasks…Man, I hate laundry…..

And that brings me to now, 10 PM, when I’m finally done with as much as I can accomplish for today, and I’m sitting here finishing Day 19 of the blogging challenge. I’m so over today. Please, don’t be jealous of my amazing day!

Hey, on the bright side, at least I have clean sheets to look forward to….Anyone else have a glamorous day like me today???
